About Basant Festival Lahore

Basant Festival Lahore (basantfestivallahore.com) is an independent, Lahore-based information website about Basant — the spring kite festival of Punjab. Our goal is simple: help families, kite lovers and small businesses understand the rules of the new, regulated Basant so that everyone can celebrate safely.

What we do

• Explain festival dates, registration, approved materials and the code of conduct in plain language.
• Summarise official notifications from the Government of Punjab and District Administration Lahore.
• Publish practical guides on safety, traditions, food and planning your Basant.
• Link directly to official government pages so you can verify every rule.

Our editorial approach

Every rule-related article is based on official sources — mainly the Basant portal of the Government of Punjab — and reputable Pakistani news outlets. We add a “last reviewed” date to our guides and update them when new notifications are issued. If you spot an error, please tell us and we will correct it quickly.

We are not a government website

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting on behalf of the Government of Punjab, the Punjab Information Technology Board, eBiz Punjab or any government department. We do not process registrations, collect fees or issue licences. All registrations must be done on the official portal.
